The 2026 pick
Kirsten Simms posted 1.57 points per game at Wisconsin, won three national championships including a title-clinching sudden-death overtime goal in 2025, then buried an overtime winner in the Frozen Four semifinal to send Wisconsin back to the final in 2026, won Olympic gold, and added an overtime winner against Canada at the World Championship. She performs best when the stakes are highest, and Toronto found exactly the franchise scorer they were looking for.
